LETS KEEP THE MESSAGE ALIVE

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

I’m still voting for John Edwards Feb. 5th. I encourage my fellow Missourian’s do so as well. To send a message to the News Networks that they don’t pick our President…WE THE PEOPLE PICK OUR PRESIDENT.

John Edwards can still use more Delegates…What I herd today was that he has SUSPENDED HIS CAMPAIGN….not withdrawing….

LET THE OTHER TWO SLUG IT OUT…

We as John Edwards supporters can keep his message alive…

Pros and cons of voting for Edwards delegates on Feb. 5

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

I’m wondering what the impact will be of voting for the Edwards delegates in the February 5 primary now that Edwards has dropped out.  Realistically, I don’t think I can decide between H. Clinton and Obama by Tuesday, since, while I think both are extremely talented, I have concerns about both and there has been a lot that I disliked about their campaigns.  Therefore my choice will be either to skip the primary or to vote for the Edwards delegates, even though he’s no longer in the race.

This is the first time my state’s primary has ever been held so early.  Unfortunately, this time I probably would’ve welcomed the chance to wait until June to make up my mind now that Edwards is out.

What do you think about the impact of voting for a candidate no longer in the race?

On Senator Edwards Dropping out of the Race

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

As posted at TheLiberalOC.com

The major media outlets are finally covering John Edwards’ Presidential Campaign.  The problem is that they have chosen to do so just to cover his anticipated withdrawal from the race in New Orleans this afternoon.

I am disappointed that the main stream corporate media has managed to slice this contest down to their two prefered candidates rather than help the people learn about all the candidates and make a value based, rather than beauty or money based selection.

What about my delegate vote, John?????

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

After months of tough work, we won our precinct’s delegate vote for you and I was nominated to carry your vote to our convention.

What would you have us do now?

I’ve tried calling local offices and couldn’t get any answer.  I talked with a campaign worker at the state’s campaign office who took my name and number and never called back.

After all our months of contributions, phone banking, blogging, rallies, etc. are we supposed to just throw the delegate vote away?  Even though YOU quit before reaching the national convention, are we supposed to quit, too?  Or are we on our own to decide which candidate to cast our delegate vote?

Our county convention is next month and the state convention is in April.  A little communication and guidance from the campaign would be appreciated.

Circling the Drain

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Like George Carlin said, we’re circling the drain.  If the Republicans regain control of everything again, we may as well just push the power flush button.

Media has been wrong before- John persists! ;)

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Dear fellow Americans,

Media rumors from quote “inside democratic sources” across the web have brought my heart to it’s knees.

I’m hoping that just like when the weatherman forecasts a 90% chance of rain, despite his preconceived notion, we happily enjoy warm & beautiful rays of sunlight shining down on our faces.

Perhaps, they (the ruthless media) are thinking that just because he is changing his path to “the big easy” that he is calling it quits. Maybe this is actually an easy way to FINALLY get some overdue media attention!  I can’t think of a better city to be in -

Don’t Go, John!

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

You have been an excellent candidate. I applaud your dedication and your soulful feelings about poverty in this country. You are so on the ball re: all the issues.

If you will not continue to run for President, please don’t go away. You are an important voice.

Al Gore and John Kerry were important voices, too, but they left us when we needed them to stand up for themselves and our democracy.

Whoever owns the MSMedia decided who should be a candidate. If it was our decision, you’d be there until the last balloon dropped from ceiling of the Convention Hall in Denver…

It is disheartening to learn, again, that my small $25 contribution with all the other grassroots donations, was not enough. It still made me feel like I was a part of your effort, and that is priceless.

So thank you, John and Elizabeth, for trying, for speaking up and for speaking out!

I’m Gretchen McNealus
from Canandaigua, NY, and I approved this message!
